Headquartered in Sweden with offices in the United Kingdom, Icomera AB is the world's leading provider of cellular broadband gateways delivering Internet connectivity for passenger transport and public safety applications. Our award-winning products are deployed on rail, road and sea serving millions of Wi-Fi users each year, and providing real-time high-speed access for fleet tracking and mission-critical on-board systems. The company has over 35 staff between locations in Gothenburg (Sweden), Sittingbourne (UK) and York (UK), and an executive team of eight.

Ola Sjölin, Chief Executive Officer

Ola joined Icomera in June 2008. Prior to joining Icomera Ola worked in the Tradex Group, a Swedish supplier to the Mobile Handset Industry, where he founded their Chicago-based U.S. subsidiary and worked as President for three years. Later he was responsible for Tradex operations in Asia where he served as President in the Shanghai HQ. Previously Ola worked as Executive Vice President for the Tradex Group when Tradex in 2006 were acquired by Brady Corporation. Prior to joining Tradex Ola worked as a management consultant with PIMS Associates. Ola holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

Cecilia Andersson, Chief Financial Officer

Cecilia joined Icomera in August 2005. Prior to joining Icomera Cecilia worked for Freeport Plc in Sweden as site accountant and site manager. Before that she worked as financial controller for L'Oréal Luxury Products Division in Stockholm. Cecilia has a BSc in Business and Commercial Law from University of Gothenburg, School of Business, Economics and Law.

Jim Baker, Chief Marketing Officer

Jim joined Icomera in August 2008 following Icomera's acquisition of Moovera Networks where Jim was Chief Executive. Prior to founding Moovera Jim was CEO of Telabria, a pioneering wireless ISP that built and deployed the UK's first and largest WiMAX-class network. Before then Jim was based in California where as CEO he took two successive streaming media companies from start-up to acquisition. Jim also held a tenure as Vice President of Streaming Media at NASDAQ-listed Media 100 Inc., a developer of non-linear digital video editing systems and the award-winning Media Cleaner video encoding software. Jim is a member of the IEEE and IET, a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and a regular speaker at international conferences on WiMAX, 3G, Wi-Fi and their convergence.

Martin Bergek, Chief Technology Officer

Martin co-founded Icomera in 1999. Prior to founding Icomera, Martin was working at Cap Gemini as technology lead for embedded software design within the automotive industry. Before that Martin worked at SAAB Combitech AB where he designed both hardware and software solutions for satellites as well as made strategic business development studies for the SAAB group management. Martin has also worked at Ericsson Mobile Communications AB where he designed digital baseband technology solutions for mobile phones. Martin is the holder of a number of patents and has an MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology.

Per Grapatin, Chief Engineering Officer

Per joined Icomera as a Software Developer in May 2002. Prior to this he worked at Ericsson Mobile Data Design as project leader and developer in Wi-Fi equipment development unit. When Icomera launched in train-based Internet solutions in 2003 Per become Director of Operations. Since then Icomera has seen the number of Wi-Fi user grow from 100 to over 50,000 per week. Per was appointed Chief Engineering Officer in 2008 and is responsible for all aspects of Icomera's day-to-day hardware and software development. Per is the holder of a number of patents and has an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

Kenneth Persson, Chief Operating Officer

Kenneth joined Icomera in 2003 as a System Engineer and Project Manager on large-scale rail projects. Prior to this Kenneth was employed as a System Engineer and test leader at Ericsson Multiservice Networks in Stockholm. Kenneth started his career as a trainee at Ericsson AB after finishing his university studies within electrical engineering.

Frederik Gustafsson, Executive Vice President

Frederik joined Icomera in February 2005. Frederik has held several management positions within the IT industry and prior to Icomera Frederik worked for Euroland.com, providing online stock and financial information from the world's leading stock markets. Before that Frederik was responsible for group communication at Frontyard, a publicly traded company. Frederik joined Frontyard when the company acquired eHem, a leading provider of solutions for smart homes, where Frederik was co-founder and CEO. Prior to funding eHem Frederik was Executive Vice President at Prosolvia Clarus, a world leading company within visual simulation for industrial applications. Frederik holds an MSc in Management.

Peter Kingsland, Senior Vice President, Business Development

Peter joined Icomera in April 2007 to head up its UK rail business. Prior to this he held the position of Wi-Fi Services Manager at Great North Eastern Railway where he played a leading role in taking the onboard internet project from pilot to full fleet deployment within 12 months. Before joining GNER Peter worked as a consultant in the telecoms and transportation industries, specialising in taking new technologies and services to market. During this time he worked for blue-chip clients including BT, Nortel, IBM and Orange and authored a number of analyst reports on the nascent public Wi-Fi, mobile data and location-based services markets. Peter holds a BA Hons degree in Economics from Anglia Ruskin University and a post-graduate diploma in journalism.

Dave Palmer, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Dave joined Icomera in August 2008 following Icomera's acquisition of Moovera Networks where Dave was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Previously Dave was a Senior Director at Aperto Networks, the US-based manufacturer of WiMAX broadband access products, where he had worldwide responsibility for strategic partners including Lucent, Cisco, Nortel and Harris. Over the last fifteen years, Dave has held senior business development and sales positions in wireless broadband systems with Ensemble, Fujitsu and Philips. Dave holds a Math Degree, MSc in Marketing and an MBA in Finance (Sheffield Hallam), and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
